The Bahu Trust is proud to announce an exciting volunteering opportunity to work with a diverse team of people from all faiths and backgrounds.  The project will support individuals who have suffered with bereavement and this will cover the Hall Green constituency which includes Sparkbrook – Balsall Heath, Sparkhill, Kings Heath, Hall Green and Moseley. Successful applicants will be volunteering as part of dynamic team and will be a great way to supercharge your social life whilst getting the feel-good buzz of knowing you are making a difference to people’s lives.

Whether you may want to build relationships in your community or simply make new friends, you will enjoy the benefits that volunteering as a Bereavement Support Officer will bring.

The “Bereavement Project”, Action Team is looking for dedicated volunteers who will work with a diverse team of friendly like-minded people who want to improve the lives of others living with bereavement.

Application requirements:

  1. Online Adverse Childhood Experiences training (2 hours) – Date 8/01/21
  2. Online Training on Trauma (4 hours) – Date 12/01/21
  3. Online Bereavement Training (45mins) – Date 18/01/21
  4. First Aid for Mental Health, Level 2 (full day) – Date 25/01/21

Volunteers will gain life skills and have the tools to be able to identify and meet the needs of individuals who are struggling to cope with loss and are not able to get support which was available in the past through community and family networks.
